The first International True Colors Association conference was held June 21-24th at Knott’s Berry Farm in southern California. The goal of this conference was to bring together the largest group of True Colors Facilitators and Trainers ever gathered at one location and to provide them with cutting edge training on ways to use True Colors more effectively. The conference was a phenomenal success with 84 members from five countries attending, certification training on four Advanced Applications, 15 breakout sessions on various focused True Colors topics, a professional panel and an author’s panel. Since the conference members have reported to us that the most valuable aspect of the conference was the networking opportunities it provided. Attending the conference were most of the big names in True Colors: Don and Erica Lowry, staff from True Colors International – Veeder South, Bill Behrens, John Campbell, Connie Jennings, Mitch Mondo, and Mike Jordan. Many of the True Colors authors: Mary Miscisin, Kathy Hayward, Carolyn Kalil, Ann Kashiwa, Gail Shapiro, and Bonnie Watts. It was a great conference and we left California even more determined to make True Colors a household name throughout the world.
Most people would agree that they had experiences that they had not anticipated. It’s hard to imagine what it is like to put 84 professional True Colors trainers together in one room. The energy generated is enormous! It’s unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. We never laughed so much in our lives! The hospitality suite at the hotel every night was rocking! Our general sessions were meaningful, poignant, dynamic, and fun! Every table had great conversations, engaging discussions, and fantastic fellowship.
As you may know, the 2007 True Colors Association conference will be held Tuesday June 12 – Friday, June 15 in Las Vegas. This is going to be a must attend conference not to be missed by anyone. There will be opportunities to submit presentations and to get involved. Put in your request for time to attend the conference right away. Star allocating finds for the event. Next year’s conference will give you one of the greatest “Returns on your Investment” you have ever had. Keep checking the website and start thinking about what role you would like to play. In 2006 over 60 people participated in putting on the conference. In 2007 that number will be even greater. Do you have a special technique that you’d like to share? Do you have a “Best Practice” that others could duplicate? The True Colors conference for 2007 is your place to share! Plan to register early, take the pre-conference trainings, and stay to the end!
